Full Description:
  • Morning Pick Up: We will begin picking up our participants from their hotels.
  • 1st Stop: Aposelemi’s Dam & Sfendili Village You’ll get to explore the ruins and the underwater landscape which were built in 1987 for irrigation and water supply. Aposelemi’s Dam is crucial for agriculture and human water consumption.
  • 2nd Stop: Lyttos Roman Aqueduct The Lyttos Roman Aqueduct was built in the 1st and 2nd century AD and was designed to bring water from several springs in the hills around. You’ll get to see that the Aqueduct is consisted of a series of stone channels and concrete piers that carried the water across the rugged terrain with 14 kilometers of length and a maximum height of 20 meters.
  • 3rd Stop: Kastamonitsa Village Enjoy some free time at the small traditional Village of Kastamonitsa which is in the foothills of the White Mountains in Western Crete. Don’t miss trying out our traditional drink “Raki” and our Olive Oil. You won’t regret it.
  • 4th Stop: Shepherd for Goat Feeding and Cheese Tasting We’ll stop at the Shepherd to try our homemade cheese and to feed the goats. You’ll notice a lot of wild animals
  • 5th stop: Viewpoint Admire the Viewpoint of Plateau of Lassithi. Capture as many pictures as you can of this amazing view.
  • 6th Stop: Cave of Zeus You’ll get the chance to explore the natural wonders and learn about it’s mythological significance which is known for the birthplace of Zeus. The king of Greek Gods. The cave is approximately 220 meters long and features several impressive rock formations, stalactites and stalagmites. The cave of Zeus is known for the most important and impressive cave in Crete.
  • 7th Stop: Lunch at the Traditional Tavern Enjoy a delicious meal at the traditional Tavern with unlimited wine. Feel like a local!
  • 8th Stop: Krassi Village Krassi Village is known for it’s age-old plane tree which is said to be more than 2000 years old. You’ll also explore its natural water springs which provide fresh drinking water to the locals and visitors
  • End of Tour: We’ll drop off our participants back to their hotels
