Havgas Gorge is located above Lassithi plateau, within the mountain region of Dikti
The gorge ascends to the beautiful lake of Neraidokolimpos, at the base of a small waterfall with a round boulder
Here the local tradition says that the fairies of the gorghe used to have their bath
The landscapre inside the gorge, which is part of the E4 trail, is one of the most stunning of the region
The river that flows inside the gorge has water usually in winter and spring after heavy rains or snowfalls, while the lake of Neraidokolimpos has water all year round
The gorge is rich in flora and fauna as endemic flowers, plants and trees grow in the gorge.
During the hike you will also see different species or butterflies, birds and mountain goats
