Each year, the palm forest plays host to thousands upon thousands of tourists. They come not only to see the beautiful palm forest, but also the huge beach of sand that is spread out at the base of the mountain.

A visit to Toplou, a monastery that dates back to the 15th century and is situated in an arid and desolate region, is included in the day excursion. The Toplou Monastery is considered to be one of the most important monasteries on the island of Crete. It is devoted to the Virgin Mary as well as St. John the Theologian. The day comes to a close at the quaint village of Sitia, which features a picturesque coastal road and a Venetian castle.

Full Description
  • Morning Pick Up
    • In the morning, we will initiate the process of collecting participants from the designated pick-up spots.
  • Bus Drive to Ierapetra: almost 1.5 – 2 hours
  • 1st stop: Ierapetra – 40 minutes
    • Pay a visit to the town that is both the most southern and the warmest in Europe, and that is famous around the world for the agricultural products that are supplied all year round. Take advantage of any spare time you have to go for a stroll along the scenic coastal road.
  • Bus Drive: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • 2nd stop: Toplou Monastery – 40 minutes
    • Our guests will have a wonderful time touring the magnificent and historically significant Monastery of Toplou. They will have roughly forty minutes of supervised time there, as well as free time, during which they can snap photographs of the distinctive building and the Cretan natural surroundings outside.
  • Bus Drive to Vai Beach: 20 minutes
  • 3rd stop: Vai Beach – 2 hours
    • Make a pit stop at Vai, which boasts Europe's largest natural palm forest. You will have two hours of free time during which you can swim, sunbathe, eat lunch, and snap pictures of the spectacular scenery of Crete.
  • Bus Drive to Sitia: 30 minutes
  • 4th stop: Sitia – 40 minutes
    • Free time will be provided for participants so that they can go at their own speed while exploring the town, take a stroll down the trendy beach road, enjoy a cup of coffee at a classic café, or sample some of the delectable locally created candies.
  • End of the tour – Arrival at resorts:
    • Participants will now board the buses and be driven back to the hotels where they were staying when we gathered them in the morning. The amount of time it takes to get back to the hotel will vary from person to person based on the amount of traffic and where they were picked up.
  • Return Bus Drive to Heraklion: Around 2 – 3 hours hours
